Located in Dirol near Auxerre and Nevers, the sawmill PETITRENAUD
is a family business.
Since 1947, it has been transforming over 20 000 cubic meters of log,
every year, into various categories of high quality lumber.

Sawmill managers Didier and Remi PETITRENAUD have take the sucsession
of their father Maurice PETITRENAUD, the company founder,
who installed his mobile sawmill between the railroad line and the Nivernais,
with this location he could ship his wood either by train or by barge.

Dirol benefits from its location 40 km away from the A6 highway, and near the forests of Nivernais that produce high quality oak.
The Nivernais area is among the four areas that are approved for shook (barrel wood) production.

Most national, town-owned and public-sector forests, as well as those owned by large private domains, are PEFC classified, allowing the sawmill PETITRENAUD to provide PEFC-certified lumber.
As a reminder, the PEFC label users of wood with the guarantee that all the wood they use comes from sustainably managed forests, according to the charter that has been signed by
forest owners.
